White Wine by Kenwood from Sonoma County, California. For more than twenty-five years Kenwood Vineyards has been recognized as one of California's top Sauvignon Blanc producers. The fruit sourced for this wine comes from their growers in five different appellations in Sonoma County. This wine shows lively varietal aromas of grass, Meyer lemon and freshly cut honeydew melon. Fresh and crisp, with lively body and a lingering finish. Best served chilled, this Sauvignon Blanc makes an excellent aperitif and will complement higher-acid dishes including salads and vegetables. Also pairs nicely with light-sauced poultry, shellfish and seafood dishes.

White Wine by Lake Sonoma from Russian River, California. The grapes for this wine were whole cluster pressed to keep harsh phenolic compounds at a low level. After a short settling period, the clear juice was racked to French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine was aged on the fermentation lees for five months with regular stirring to re-suspend the lees and make a rounder, more complex wine. Flavors of apple and pears complement the soft vanilla oak profile and creme brulee-like finish. This Chardonnay pairs readily with a variety of foods including fresh fruit, aged cheeses, green salads, lighter pasta, poultry, pork and seafood.

Classic Laurel Glen, a Cabernet stuffed with dense, thrillingly ripe fruit. -Wine Enthusiast Laurel Glen has built a reputation for making some of the most balanced and delicious Cabernets in California - this flagship wine from mountain grown fruit is a perfect example of how special these wines are. The later growing season afforded a beautiful balance of acid, fruit, and tannins; in fact, the wine tastes unusually drinkable right now. The dark core extends to the rim of the glass in a firm, bright purple rim; the nose is dark and deep, with layers of ripe black berry and cassis tones below the distinctive Laurel Glen exotic spice top-notes. What is really atypical for the vineyard is the immediately smooth and silky mouthfeel: normally, Laurel Glen wines need a couple of years to achieve this level of balance. This is a lovely wine right now, but I suspect time will allow it to blossom into a wine of greater profundity. Will we be able to wait?
Red Wine by Laurel Glen from Sonoma County, California. The 2003 Counterpoint displays a fine violet rim with a black core - typical of Laurel Glen's mountain vineyard, that presages its brightness and depth. The long and mostly cool growing season produced aromas of great finesse and complex flavors. Compared to its predecessor, the exuberant 2002, this vintage is decidedly more restrained. Its nose is a lovely melange of violets, dark cherries, and a haunting citrus note almost reminiscent of Malbec, which develops after the bottle has been open for a few hours. In short, it's an inviting and pretty wine with a supple, but intense, core. Laurel Glen blends all Counterpoints to be enjoyed early, although one can also wait for this wine to develop in the bottle for a few years. This is why they select lots that display rounded tannins and bright fruit in the mouth. This vintage is true to form. Underlying the supple tannins, however, is a density of fruit and a focused purity that recalls its aromas. The 2003 Counterpoint is fully within the Laurel Glen house style with its juicy acidity and deep core and like all Laurel Glen wines, it is made to be enjoyed with food.
Red Wine by Laurel Glen from Chile, South America. Harvested from ancient vines on the slopes of the Andes Mountains, comes Terra Rosa Malbec: a glass-staining wine with a lovely and exotically perfumed nose. It has a rich, deep, and hauntingly elegant mouthfeel with a ripe blueberry character and a sensuous smokiness. Taste it: you might expect a massive, bold wine, but it is surprisingly lilting on the palate. It's not larded up with oak, although it has been raised in barrels for eighteen months to provide its frame and to round it out. The finish is long, with pure fruit flavors.
White Wine by Lincourt from Central Coast, California. As is typical, the lion share of this Chardonnay is sourced from Santa Maria Valley's famous Bien Nacido Vineyard, with the balance coming from cool-climate vineyards in Sta. Rita Hills. The Bien Nacido fruit gives the wine its signature tropical fruit aromatics and its lush texture in the mouth. The Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay provides lemon curd and mandarin orange notes, and the acidity to give the wine structure. All of the different lots were whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented and aged for 11 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels. While in oak, the wine completed 100% Malolactic fermentation. Lees were stirred weekly to give the Chardonnay a richer, more opulent mouth feel, and a toasted bread-like bouquet. The crisp acidity and low pH keeps the wine interesting from first sip to last.
Red Wine by Lolonis from North Coast, California. Creamy, black fruit aromas give way to more incisive, juicy, and coffee-laced flavors plus tooth-coating tannins in the mid-palate; best to age a few years or decant for current drinking. Viticulture Technique: Taking its name from the lyrical charmer in Greek Mythology, our Lolonis Orpheus entices with a blend of luscious Petite Sirah, softened by notes of Napa Gamay. Grapes in this wine were planted over half a century ago on the benchlands of Redwood Valley. Red Wine by Longoria from Central Coast, California. This wine is slightly lighter in color than previous vintages but no less concentrated or complex. Longoria's dedication to maintaining the high level quality of Fe Ciega Pinot Noir required them to go through numerous blending trials to determine the best possible blend from the four lots they had to work with. As a result, a substantial portion of their Dijon 115 lot was declassified, and thus became the majority of their Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir released in November 2006. This 2005 vintage of Fe Ciega Pinot Noir has complex aromas of Asian spices, sandalwood, sage, plums and black walnuts. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, and initially seems subdued and restrained. However, as the wine breathes in the glass it begins to open up and with each sip the wine expands a little more in the mouth to reveal the complex flavors and layers that has become the hallmark of Fe Ciega Pinot Noir. The wine is beautifully balanced in terms of oak integration, acidity and silky tannins. Enjoy this wine with salmon, duck, and holiday turkey.

Varietal Content: 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot The 2004 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is fruit-driven exhibiting complex layers of dried cherries, tobacco, leather and earth tones balanced with expressions of toasty oak reminiscent of vanilla spice box. This is a magnificent wine with an opulent nose of dark berries, ripe plum and black fruits, with earthy undertones of sage, underbrush and spices. The wine will evolve into a long and lingering finish of plush, velvety tannins and is a perfect complement to warm, earthy dishes, wild game and red meats. A lush and well-structured wine that can be enjoyed now or aged for the next five years.

Blend: 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 1.5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Sangiovese, .5% Petite Verdot, 4% Petite Sirah, .5% Syrah, .5% Barbera The Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a deep garnet, color with intense aromas of cedary oak, currents and black cherries. White Wine by Luna from Napa Valley, California. Blend: 95% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay The 2006 Pinot Grigio is a star-bright, light straw color, and its nose has wonderful aromas of pear, peach and apricot. This is a delicious, full-bodied wine with a forward surge of lemon zest and pine nut flavors. On the palate, there are notes of citrus, fig, pear, pineapple and a faint hint of oak. Notes of honeysuckle and orange marmalade close out the finish. This wine is delightful to drink now, and will continue to be at its peak through the end of 2008. Slightly yeasty aromas of yellow plum, pear and tropical fruits. Fresh and fruit-driven, with lively acidity giving the middle palate a firmness. I find the saline minerality and subtle florality here to be quite intriguing. Finishes firm-edged, almost tannic, but without bitterness. White Wine by MacMurray Ranch from Russian River, California. MacMurray Ranch Russian River Valley Pinot Gris shows fruit and flowers in the front palate, with a voluptuous texture and substantial body. Rich aromas of fig, peach, pear, and tropical fruits evolve into a smooth, lingering finish. Pair this wine's richness with sauteed scallops, soft-shell crabs, lobster, foie gras or highlight its bright acidity and elegance with linguini and fresh clams or al pesto.
Red Wine by MacRostie from Carneros, California. I love this wine. The vineyard is one of the coolest parts of Carneros, where the maritime influence has given crisp acidity boosting long hangtime fruit. The cherry, raspberry and cola flavors are gorgeous, while the earthier pomegranates and rhubarb are elevated to pie-filling sweetness. Yet the wine is entirely dry. What a beauty. -Wine Enthusiast Editor's Choice 95/100 The grapes for this Pinot Noir came exclusively from MacRostie's Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, owned by Steve MacRostie and his partners Nancy and Tony Lilly. Here the vines dig into the sparse volcanic soil and stand firm against the brisk winds that race in off the Pacific Ocean most afternoons. This foggy mountaintop vineyard is Carneros at its coolest and most challenging, but the vines produce fruit of great distinction. Dark ruby color, with aromas of black raspberry, clove, and coffee. In the mouth there's loads of ripe raspberry, plus a hint of cinnamon-laced cocoa, like good Mexican chocolate. Very full-bodied, weighty and rich, but still light on its feet. The finish turns slightly toward cedar, but the fruit goes on and on.
Red Wine by Mark West from California. Enticing aromas of juicy cherry, fleshy plum, strawberry tart and orange marmalade, with barrel notes of vanilla, cedar, brown sugar and spice. Oak aging rounds out the palate and gives the wine its body. Lush weighty fruit on the palate, tasting of raspberry preserves. The finish is fresh, bright and lingers of ripe red berry flavors.

Martin Ray 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon begins with ever-changing aromas. Ripe berries and lush vanilla back aromatics thick with cherries and black currant fruit. The opulent palate is reminiscent of classic Martin Ray Cabernet Sauvignon. This bright robust wine with superb balance and structure is full of wild berry flavors that extend into an elegant finish. Aged 20 months in French oak. Pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with a dish of roasted rack of lamb topped with fresh mint and Dijon mustard.
White Wine by Matanzas Creek from Sonoma County, California. A first glimpse of the wine reveals a pale, straw color, quite typical for a sophisticated Chardonnay. The first nose brings a delicate blend of green apple, white peach, and acacia flower, with a surprising addition of the autumn fruits pear and quince. After a swirl, the second nose reveals a more mineral note of crushed stones, the mark of an exceptional Chardonnay. The palate is round and velvety with a prolonged, flavorful finish of honey and melon. There is also a unique and subtle hint of smoke, derived from basalt, an ancient ocean floor rock found in Bennett Valley's soil. Although this Chardonnay was crafted with 95% malolactic fermentation, it is far from a heavy, buttery wine. Fran ois strives to create an elegant wine which is expressly crafted to complement the food. In addition, he is able to preserve the fullest potential of the Chardonnay fruit by employing a Champagne-style vinification that is gentle on the fruit during crush and prevents any bitter note in the finish. If allowed to age, this wine promises to further increase in minerality and develop a luscious, butterscotch character.

This luscious dessert wine, made from Viognier grapes, is the result of Botrytis cinerea-the organism responsible for some of the world's most highly regarded dessert wines. The Wagner family's vineyard site in the Santa Lucia Highlands provides optimal conditions for late-season botrytis. The vineyard's climate also results in wines with great natural balance because the cool temperatures help maintain excellent acidity in the grapes. This balance is crucial in a dessert wine like this one, with a residual sugar of 17 percent at bottling. The grapes for this wine were hand-picked on December 8 and 9, 2000 An expansive nose of floral aromas, apricots and spice. In the mouth, flavors of ripe apricots and honey. The wine has a mouth-coating, nectar-like texture and a lingering honeyed-fig finish. This is a true dessert wine, with a dense, velvety body and flavors that stay with you long after you've put the glass down.

This wine combines intense fruit flavors, carefully balanced with subtle oak characters to produce a well structured, medium-bodied Monterey County Chardonnay. It displays primary flavors of stone fruits such as peaches and nectarines with pineapples and other tropical fruits typical of a Monterey County Chardonnay. These characters are complemented by secondary flavors of pears, melon, citrus and floral notes. Very subtle oak influences of creamy, toasty and vanilla characters are also present, resulting in a well-balanced, medium-bodied wine. Non-Vintage by Mumm Napa from Napa Valley, California. A complex assemblage of primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Brut Prestige opens with gorgeous layered white blossom aromas, followed by creamy vanilla, citrus, stone fruit and melon. With elegant acidity and crisp structure, this medium-bodied sparkling wine displays an excellent mousse and a rich, lingering finish.
