The wine displays the tropical fruit and mineral characteristics of the estate, and is delicately infused with citrus, pear and honeysuckle, an imprint from the cool vintage conditions.

Rich and elegant, with lush aromas of grapefruit, honeysuckle and exotic spice are met by a vibrant band of tropical fruit and mineral flavors. The wine is lengthy and persistent, a classic effort.
White Wine by Chalk Hill from Sonoma County, California. Blend: 88% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon Gris Chalk Hill's Sauvignon Blanc captures the personality of their land and harnesses the capricious nature of the grape. They tend eleven clones of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Semillon. Every cluster was inspected for defects. After being whole-cluster pressed, this wine was 100% barrel fermented; 20% of the total saw stainless steel barrels, while 80% was in French oak. Both rich and elegant, the lush floral aromas of honey suckle and kaffir lime combine with a vibrant band of gooseberries and tropical fruit. The wine is lengthy, persistent, and represents an evolutionary leap in winemaking.
White Wine by Chalone from Central Coast, California. Grown entirely at our estate vineyard, the 2003 Chardonnay is an extremely fine and delicate wine with aromas of stone fruit and brioche. Ten months of sur lie aging in 100 percent French oak barrels gives texture and imparts complex aromas of vanilla and hazelnut. As is typical of Chalone Vineyard Chardonnay, the acidity is firm and bright and the wine possesses gobs of minerality from our unique limestone site. I like to call Chalone Vineyard Chardonnay the white wine for red wine drinkers. Its rich flavors, distinctive minerality and crisp acidity make it a versatile wine to complement rich, robust dishes such as pasta in cream sauces, roasted salmon, grilled chicken breast and pork chops.
Red Wine by Chalone from Central Coast, California. Perched high in the remote Gavilan Mountain Range, 1,800 feet above Salinas Valley, Chalone Vineyard is a one-of-a-kind wine estate. This is extreme wine country with rare limestone soils, limited rainfall and wide diurnal temperature swings. The unique terroir produces wine that imparts a subtle mineral character with compelling fruit and richness. By California standards, Chalone Vineyard's grape yields are small (less than three tons per acre), but the grapes from this vineyard achieve homogeneity of ripeness and display intense character and superb balance. The new Pinot Noir clones, planted in 1997, are really showing their potential with the 2005 vintage. The wine is darkly colored and amazingly opulent, with fantastic fruit intensity leaning toward red cherries and strawberries. Firm in body, with big tannins, this wine has amazing texture and length of finish. The ten months it spent in French oak integrated the fruit and tannins into a truly hedonistic glass of wine. Pair with roasted turkey, seared duck with cherry sauce, grilled salmon and wild mushroom risotto.
White Wine by Chalone from Central Coast, California. The 2005 Pinot Blanc was whole-cluster pressed with no crushing or destemming of the grapes. The 21-day fermentation took place half in barrel with natural yeast, and half in stainless steel, inoculated with yeast. The wine was then aged for 9 months in French oak barrels to enhance the finish. Leaving the wine on the lees adds the signature hazelnut character typical of Chalone white wines and builds roundness and finish. This lovely wine offers bright flavors of crisp apple and brioche. It has a wonderful smooth and creamy texture, medium to full body and balanced acidity. Enjoy it on its own as an aperitif before a meal, or paired with chicken salad with tarragon and walnuts, poached dilled salmon or creamy pasta Alfredo.
Red Wine by Chalone from Central Coast, California. The grapes for Chalone Monterey County Pinot Noir come from the coastal foothill regions in the Salinas Valley. In the cellar Chalone works hard to maintain the character and richness of this wonderful fruit. The wine features rich aromas of tart black cherries with hints of both clove and nutmeg. Ripe flavors of raspberries and cola follow on the palate. A small amount of Petite Sirah adds richness, giving the wine additional weight. This is a full-bodied wine with balanced acidity and a supple mouthfeel. It has the elegance to work well with turkey or other fowl, meaty fish like tuna or salmon, and pasta with a creamy wild mushroom sauce.

Red Wine by Ch. Souverain from Sonoma County, California. Aromas on this Syrah start with blueberry, cassis black pepper and raspberry notes with hints of floral and spice. The mouthfeel is warm, supple and rich, with flavors of ripe berries, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla framing a core of lush fruit. This estate wine is designed to be approachable, yet have a sense of complexity and richness, allowing for development with bottle age. The grapes for Chateau Souverain's Syrah come from our estate vineyards, located at the northern end of the Alexander Valley, adjacent to the western bank of the Russian River. The gravelly soils of the Viognier and Syrah vineyards, positioned on slopes overlooking the river, are of moderate fertility and vigor, which helps to keep the crop loads in good balance. The hillsides, located further back from the river provide the Mourvedre with even less fertile soil than the Viognier and Syrah vineyards, helping to keep this large clustered variety stressed enough to ensure concentrated fruit development. One of The Year's Best Syrahs. Rustic and dynamic, this has the energy syrah gets when the vine hits a balanced ripeness. White Wine by Chateau St. Jean from Sonoma County, California. Classic winemaking techniques such as sur lie aging for 17 months are used for this wine. Each lot is kept separate throughout the winemaking process and aged in 100% French oak (57% new). A barrel selection from each lot is made to craft the final blend. Due to the large percentage of Robert Young Vineyard Chardonnay in this blend, only 50% of the final blend underwent malolactic fermentation as the Robert Young Chardonnay component is kept a nonmalolactic wine. This medium-bodied Reserve Chardonnay opens with pleasing aromas of Bosc pear, lemon candy and nutmeg. Unctuous notes of creamy lemon bar and kiwi fruit are backed by subtle hints hazelnut, baking spice and mineral characters. Red Wine by Cline from California. The Bridgehead Zinfandel is consistently the most refined and elegant of the several Zins that we produce. Our 2004 Bridgehead Zinfandel has notes of spice and black pepper combined with bright blackberry. The wine is firm and deep with notes of chocolate and toasty vanilla. Benefiting from a fine-grained structure of balanced acids and tannins, the wine will age beautifully for well over the next 5 to 7 years. Its claret-like style and intriguingly complex earthy-berry character make this one of California's most distinct and our most treasured Zinfandels.
Red Wine by Cline from California. The Live Oak Zin is known for its dimension of ripeness and individuality. A classic example of the big-boned Zinfandels for which Cline Cellars has become known, the 2004 Live Oak Zin displays notes of dark berries, raisins and licorice. The wine has a firm and balanced structure of acid and fine grained tannins. It's luscious.

Red Wine by Cline from Sonoma County, California. Carignane holds the distinction of being one of the most widely planted red grapes in France. It is also grown abundantly in Italy, Spain, Algeria and Israel and was once the most planted varietal in the new world. It has traditionally been used as a blending grape because of its favorable yields, excellent acidity and big tannins. Cline Cellars is one of a few wineries to vinify this varietal. Dark ruby in color, the 2006 Ancient Vines Carignane offers aromas of plum, chocolate and clove. The old vine elicits a taste of typical Oakley terroir, a dusty, dark cherry fruit and a nice bright acidity. It's a perfect match for grilled meats, pasta dishes, even pizza with goat cheese.

Red Wine by Cline from California. Each year, Oakley Five Reds is a unique red blend that is easy drinking and medium bodied with the spicy berry flavors that want in their Zinfandels. The Rhone varietals add pepper, cherry and dark fruit character. The wine has smooth tannins and luscious fruit and should age well into the future. The 2006 is a blend of 74% Merlot, 7% Barbera, 6% Cabernet Franc, 3% Syrah, and 1% Mourvedre. Red Wine by Cline from California. Syrah is a fantastic grape to work with in the cellar. The deep red-purple color explodes and fascinates each time it is poured into a glass. Its origins stem from the Rhone Valley. The cracked black pepper aromas complement the black cherry fruitiness of this vintage and make it a great match for grilled salmon and sauteed vegetables served over pasta.
White Wine by Cline from California. Viognier is a tricky grape to grow. Its natural low acidity requires it to be picked at just the right moment. With this blend Cline chose grapes from vineyards that offered flavors indicative of the appellations from which they came. Solano County was chosen for its grapes are blessed with ample sun and provided maximum flavors. Cline's Mendocino vineyards, basked in warm days and cold nights contributed to the full-body weight of this wine and their Carneros vineyard was chosen because of its longer cool growing season. Cline Viognier shows big peach and apricot flavors mixed with citrus and floral notes. The wine is a powerhouse of flavor and is full-bodied so it will make and excellent match with flavorful foods like Mediterranean stew and spicy Mexican dishes.
Red Wine by Clos du Bois from Sonoma County, California. The introductory, 1978 vintage of Marlstone stands as the first release of a Bordeaux-style wine from Sonoma County. The release of the 2003 vintage of this wine thus marks the 25th anniversary of Marlstone, and is the first vintage of this historic cuvee which winemaker Erik Olsen has shepherded from vineyard to bottle. This wine's inky, deep, ruby color promises intensity and depth.
